Group Training

Building Complete Pitchers

Our small group lessons (1–3 athletes per hour) are designed to create a strong foundation, sharpen mechanics, and build confident, game-ready pitchers. We begin every session by focusing on proper form and foundational movement to ensure consistency, control, and power. Once pitchers master the fundamentals, we progress into advanced pitch development—layering in spin, movement, and strategic pitch sequencing.

But great pitching is about more than just throwing the ball. Each lesson integrates warm-up routines, mental toughness training, smart pitching strategies, and leadership development to help athletes stand strong in the circle and lead their teams with confidence.

Seven Keys to Success

Success on the mound comes from combining mechanical skill with strategic execution, which is why our training is built around the Seven Keys to Pitching Success:

  1. Communication – Championship teams are built on trust. We emphasize clear communication with catchers and teammates, from warm-ups to post-game.

  2. Change Speed – We teach pitchers to command three speeds—fast, medium, and slow—so hitters can’t simply time one pitch.

  3. Break the Plane – Movement matters. Learning to control pitches that move up or down keeps batters off balance and guessing.

  4. Get Ahead – Strong pitchers set the tone early. We focus on working counts, getting to 1–2, and finishing at-bats efficiently.

  5. Strikeout Location – Every pitcher needs a go-to strikeout pitch. We help athletes identify and own the pitch they can rely on in big moments.

  6. First Batter Out – Getting the leadoff batter out takes pressure off the defense and sets the tone for the inning.

  7. Tough with Two – We train pitchers to stay mentally locked in with two outs or two strikes. Finish strong. Three is the magic number.

These seven principles are woven into every group lesson, ensuring athletes not only throw harder and smarter but also learn to think like pitchers. Our goal is to build confident, resilient competitors who can execute under pressure and lead from the circle.

Why Group Lessons?

For Beginners:

For Advanced Pitchers:

For Advanced Pitchers:

  • Confidence through Community: Learning alongside other girls removes some of the pressure and helps new pitchers feel supported rather than singled out.

  • Reinforcement through Observation: Watching others throw helps beginners better understand mechanics, timing, and movement.

  • Skill Progression at Their Pace: Each athlete gets individual feedback, but also benefits from group drills and shared learning moments.

  • Game-Like Environment: Early exposure to a more dynamic setting helps build comfort and focus under the kinds of distractions they’ll face in real games.

For Advanced Pitchers:

  •  Healthy Competition: Training alongside other strong athletes pushes pitchers to work harder and stay sharp.

  • Leadership Development: Older or more advanced pitchers often step into natural leadership roles—helping others, modeling discipline, and building confidence.

  • Pressure Simulation: Working in a group mimics the energy of live game situations, preparing athletes to execute under pressure.

  • Expanded Perspective: Advanced pitchers learn just as much from seeing different styles, strengths, and approaches as they do from throwing themselves.
